A self-published illustrated book, written to showcase the A to Z’s of Filipino cuisine. The idea came about during my stay with my partner’s family, who introduced me to the culinary delights in Filipino culture. It was designed to inspire people new to Filipino cooking, like myself- to understand the basic techniques, ingredients and history on a myriad of Filipino dishes.   
Design Strategy
The idea of creating a book that is accessible to everyone informed the art direction of the book. The universal graphics, comprising of clean, easily recognizable vectors and colors, help reiterate the theme that Filipino cuisine can be cooked by almost anyone using ingredients commonly found in Western supermarkets. Centered placement of typography help keep the content rooted and clear to the reader, while not distracting from the illustrations which showcase the ingredients needed for each recipe.
